Account & Data Deletion

We respect your right to be forgotten. Learn how to delete your Patrimony account and completely remove your data.

Policy effective: June 2026

Clean Break Protocol

When you delete your account, your Google OAuth refresh token is revoked immediately, your server profile and nominee records are permanently wiped, and active sessions are terminated. This action is irreversible.

How to Request Account Deletion

Method 1 (Instant)Recommended

Self-Service In-App / Web Dashboard

You can permanently delete your account directly from your account settings at any time without contacting support:

  1. Sign in to your Patrimony account via web or Android app.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Security.
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
  4. Click Delete Account and confirm the prompt.
Method 2Email Request

Manual Deletion Request (Without App)

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in to your dashboard, you can request full account removal by email:

Send an email to: support@patrimony.info

Subject line: Account Deletion Request

Requirement: Please send the email from the exact Google Account email address associated with your Patrimony account so we can verify ownership.

Manual requests are verified and permanently processed within 48 business hours. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.

Deleting Specific Data (Without Deleting Your Account)

You do not need to delete your entire account to remove specific records. You can selectively and permanently delete individual assets, uploaded documents, or designated nominees at any time:

  • Individual Assets: Open any asset card and tap the delete action.
  • Uploaded Documents: Swipe or tap options on any document in your vault and select Delete.
  • Nominees: Select any nominee profile and choose Remove Nominee.
  • Manual Data Purge: Email support@patrimony.info with your account email and specify the exact records you wish to purge.

What Data is Deleted vs. Retained

Data Permanently Deleted Immediately

The following records are permanently removed from our servers upon deletion:

  • ✓Google OAuth Refresh Tokens: Automatically revoked with Google's servers.
  • ✓User Account Profile: Your email, display name, user ID, and preferences.
  • ✓Nominee Records: All trusted nominee designations, contact information, and relationships.
  • ✓Security Settings: Inactivity thresholds, check-in schedules, and notification settings.
  • ✓Active Sessions: All authentication cookies and session state are invalidated.

Files in Your Personal Google Drive

Patrimony stores your assets and uploaded documents in your personal Google Drive inside the Patrimony (Documents) folder.

Because this folder belongs to your personal Google Account, Patrimony loses all API access to it the moment your token is revoked. If you wish to delete the files as well, you can simply delete the folder directly from drive.google.com.

Data Retention & Exceptions

We do not maintain backup copies of your account after deletion. Standard server security and access logs (IP address and timestamp without PII) may be temporarily retained for up to 30 days solely for fraud detection, network security, and compliance with statutory obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and GDPR.
